Impact

DigitalPlantain has already reached over 1800 students in Haiti.

We work in three of Haiti's ten departments:

  • Grand'Anse

  • Ouest

  • Nord

Grand'Anse

In the Grand'Anse department, Roxane has brought computers and software to more than 20 villages. The mountainous terrain means that the computers often travel on the back of a donkey. Within rural Grand'Anse, DigitalPlantain has engaged over 500 students who had never before touched a computer.

Ouest

In Cité Soleil, one of the most impoverished neighborhoods in the capital city, the SAKALA community center hosts training workshops for students using the DigitalPlantain software.

Nord

In a remote area of northern Haiti, in the town of Borgne, students learn to use the software at the medical center.
